Amendment 1 · Conservation-use property: maximum eligible acreage

Who votes: All eligible Georgia voters.

Increase the acreage cap for one owner’s qualifying agricultural or timber land under conservation-use assessment from 2,000 to 4,000 acres. The resolution retains the ten-year conservation-use covenant and tax-recapture conditions.

YES: Approve the increase to 4,000 acres.

NO: Keep the constitutional cap at 2,000 acres.

Shall the Constitution of Georgia, for the purpose of protecting family farmland, be amended so as to increase the maximum acreage to qualify for assessment and taxation as a bona fide conservation use property from 2,000 acres to 4,000 acres?

Amendment 2 · Nonpartisan elections for probate judges

Who votes: All eligible Georgia voters.

Require all Georgia probate court judges to be elected on a nonpartisan basis. This concerns how those judges are elected.

YES: Require nonpartisan elections for all probate judges.

NO: Leave the Constitution unchanged by this proposal.

Amendment 3 · Dedicated fund for emergency 9-1-1 systems

Who votes: All eligible Georgia voters.

Authorize the General Assembly to dedicate specified existing revenues, including revenues reallocated by law, to a fund reserved for expanding, maintaining and operating emergency 9-1-1 systems. Money in the fund would carry forward instead of lapsing.

YES: Authorize the dedicated, nonlapsing 9-1-1 fund.

NO: Do not add this constitutional authority.

NO: Does not reimpose the proposed sales tax.
