Check your registration

Register by October 5 for the November 3 election. Confirm your registration and residential address on Georgia’s My Voter Page. Your postal city alone does not determine your county or ballot.

Mark your calendar

  • October 23: deadline for the county to receive an absentee-ballot application. Apply early to allow mailing time.
  • October 30: last day of advance voting.
  • November 3, 7 p.m.: most domestic absentee ballots must be received by the county. A postmark alone does not meet this deadline.
  • December 1: general-election runoff, if required. Check the county’s separate runoff schedule.

Military and overseas voters should follow the state’s special instructions.

Review your ballot

Georgia elects the Governor and Lieutenant Governor separately. The statewide Public Service Commission seats have district numbers, but voters statewide elect them. Congressional, legislative and local districts belong to different offices.
