5Candidates & offices

The November 3 county publication ballot, all 26 map-linked ballot styles and the state certification were checked September 26. Includes county courts, JP and commissioner precincts, Arp’s special council election, ESD 1 places 2, 3 and 5, ESD 2 place 5, and the certified county-clerk write-in. The county map identifies voting subprecincts and school trustee areas; a mapped school area does not itself mean a school election occurs in November. Two map/ballot conflicts affect ESD membership in subprecincts 327.07 and 336.07; those ESD assignments require county confirmation.

Understanding district and seat labels

A district number belongs to a particular office. Congressional District 20 and State Senate District 20 are different areas.

Read the office, its district or seat, and “Who votes” together. A numbered seat can be elected countywide. Your precinct is the county’s voting area used to assign your polling place.
