Registration & updates

The regular registration deadline is October 9 at 5 p.m. You can also register and vote during October 15–31 early voting with proof of county residence. Check the official same-day registration instructions for accepted documents. Same-day registration is not available on Election Day for most voters.

Ballot return deadline

November 3 · 7:30 p.m.

Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot. Your county must receive the request by October 20 at 5 p.m. Follow the photo-ID-copy or exception-form instructions, and have two adult witnesses or a notary complete the certification. Your county must receive the ballot by November 3 at 7:30 p.m. Military and overseas rules differ.
