5Candidates & offices

Includes the 25 candidate contests and four ballot questions in Douglas County’s November 3, 2026 composite sample ballot, reviewed September 22. This countywide reference combines different districts; your personal sample ballot determines which contests you can vote in. School-board districts are matched with the county GIS map when the address point is available.

Understanding district and seat labels

A district number belongs to a particular office. Congressional District 5 and State Senate District 5 are different areas.

Read the office, its district or seat, and “Who votes” together. A numbered seat can be elected countywide. Your precinct is the county’s voting area used to assign your polling place.
